Mrs. Patsy Talbert Haga, 87, passed away on November 15, 2019 at Arbor Acres Retirement Community, with family by her side. She was born on March 10, 1932 to Herbert Sydney Talbert and Hettie Ragsdale Talbert in Santa Paula, CA. Patsy was an active member of Hope Moravian Church where she spent much time alongside her husband, mother, and other family members. She played euphonium in the church band (as well as community bands), led and participated in Women’s Fellowship and Sunday School, and engaged in countless other church activities. For many years she helped manage the family business, Echo Bluff MHP. Patsy, who grew up on a dairy farm, loved animals of all types, children, flowers, music, painting, and crafts. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Edford Haga. Surviving are her three children, Marty Haga (Vickie) of Boonville, Lynn Haga of Winston-Salem, and Cindy Turner (Wilbur) of Garner; six grandchildren, Amy, Julie, Jessica, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Caleb; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Hope Moravian Church with Patsy’s cherished pastor, Rev. David Merritt, officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 2:00 PM. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Hope Moravian Church; flowers are also welcome. The family gives thanks to all of Patsy’s friends from church and beyond, to her dear caregiver and friend, Sybil, and to many caregivers from Arbor Acres and Trellis.
