Patsy Marie Carroll Bracken

Mrs. Patsy Marie Carroll Bracken, 72, of Lexington, went home Sunday, July 24, 2011 to meet her maker and her husband, Cecil with no regrets. She was born January 30, 1939 in Stokes County to Fannie and Woodrow Carroll. Patsy was brought up in Walnut Cove with her mother and grandparents. She had a colorful life. Mrs. Bracken had worked and retired from Salem Terrace. Surviving are two sons, Greg O. Bracken (fiancé Debbie Anderson) and James Robert Bracken (Tammy Montgomery Bracken); four grandchildren, Christopher J. Bracken, Crystal Allen (Thomas), Amanda Owensby (Curtis) and LeAnna Cone; four great grandchildren, Haydan D. Allen, Ethan, Elias and Elianna Owensby; one brother-in-law, J.D. Bracken and one aunt, ReAnne Tuttle (Jack). A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor John Woods officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank Lexington Dialysis for their care and compassion.
