Patrick O. Whitaker

Mr. Patrick O. Whitaker, 82, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1938 in Winston-Salem to James and Mildred Whitaker. Patrick enjoyed growing flowers and working in the yard, woodworking, jewelry, and cutting stones. He loved keeping his dog company and he stayed around his home a lot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lona Mae Whitaker. Surviving are his brother, Michael Whitaker; sister, Glenda Gail Dion; best friend, who was more like his adopted son, Robin Shipman; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Waughtown Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Whittington officiating.
