Patricia Spivey, 68, of Winston-Salem, was called home by God on Monday August 18th, 2014 following a prolonged fight with multiple health issues. Pat was a sweet and loving wife, mother and memaw. She was born Sept. 7, 1945 to the late William H. and Emma Tutterow Lapish. Pat is survived by her husband, William âBill' Spivey, to whom she was very happily married for twenty years. Also surviving are her sons, Teddy Edwards (DeeDee) and Franklin Edwards; step-daughters, Beth Pepper and Lori Spivey; granddaughters, Amber Nichole and Kristen Lee Edwards; her sisters, Edna Laird and Peggy Hayes; and her brother, Sam Lapish (Joann). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Tony Lee Edwards; three sisters, Stella Sue Lapish; Ila Mae Edwards, and Ruby Schneider; and brothers, William Marchel âMajor' Lapish, and John Lee Lapish. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21st from 6PM to 8:30PM at Hayworth-Miller on 3315 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be performed Friday, August 22nd at 11:00AM at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on 2730 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem with Rev. Glyn Stewart officiating.
