Patricia Gwaltney Martin McCuiston

Mrs. Patricia Gwaltney Martin McCuiston, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away on April 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born on April 29, 1937 in Forsyth County to Riley Clark Gwaltney and Ruth Etta Ray. She was employed for many years at Stevens Photo Lab where she worked as a color technician. Pat had a caring nature and a strong faith in the Lord. She was fun and possessed a great sense of humor. She loved her family more than anything. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Mc Kiver ""Mack"" Martin; son, Ronnie Martin; and stepfather, James Martin. Pat is survived by her children, Richard M. Martin (Patricia), Kathy Bates (Delmont), R. Michael Martin (Betty Jo), Tammy M. Hinsdale (David), Jackie M. Leatherwood; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sisters, Lalah Pettitt, Ollie Walls and Linda Gant (Steve); and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. David Harman officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 1206 Pleasant View Dr. Winston-Salem NC, 27105. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
