Patricia Ledbetter Hawks

Mrs. Patricia Ledbetter Hawks, a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and faithful friend went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Pat's homegoing took place after her prayer for the Lord to send His angels to bring her into God's Presence. Pat was known as a faith-filled prayer warrior and supporter of missions and evangelism. Those who knew her best knew her also as a loving and selfless person who encouraged all others to give their hearts to Christ and meet her in that beautiful land. She was born October 1, 1938 in Greensboro to Howard L. and Katheryn F. Ledbetter. She was a member of New Hope Assembly of God in Midway. She is preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Ed Hawks of the home; two sons, William C. McIntosh, Jr. and wife Sherri of Greensboro and Larry McIntosh and wife Sherry of Winston-Salem; grandson, Eric McIntosh and wife Faith of Greensboro; granddaughter, Sarah McIntosh and Fianc郩 Randy Burchfield of Charlotte; two sisters, Kay Nifong and husband Carroll of Winston-Salem and Julia Smith of Greensboro. A funeral service will be held 7:00PM Thursday, April 15, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Bobby Jenkins and Rev. Tom Miller officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A committal service will be conducted 2:00PM Friday at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family would like to extend special Thanks to Susan Hines, M.D., for her care these past ten years and to all the nurses and personnel in Chemo Department at Derrick Davis Cancer Center and special Thanks to the personnel on the 9th floor Oncology Palliative Care Center at Forsyth Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
