Patricia Hall-Crouse

Patricia (Trish) Birmingham Hall-Crouse passed away on October 11, 2022; she was born on September 20, 1957, in Morristown, New Jersey. On passing, she was accompanied by the Holy Spirit, and welcomed by: her father John Nicholas Birmingham, mother Elizabeth Mathilda Kaiser Birmingham, and brother Richard Robert Birmingham. She is survived by her cherished daughters: Lauren Mae Hall, Elizabeth Florey Hall; husband Ray Edward Crouse, Jr.; brothers: Thomas James Birmingham, John Nicholas Birmingham, Jr., sister Eileen Elizabeth Birmingham; numerous: nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces; and uncountable close friends and colleagues.

Trish was a graduate of: Assumption School, June 1971 (Morristown, NJ); Bayley-Ellard Regional High School, June 1975 (Madison, NJ); High Point College, May 1979, Bachelor of Arts (High Point, NC); and Salem College, May 1993, Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education (Winston-Salem, NC).

Trish was a lover of life and nature. Her professional career was spent as an educator and nurturer of children at Konnoak, Speas, Forest Park, and Ward Elementary schools. She enjoyed gardening: flowers, herbs, and vegetables. Her backyard is a masterpiece of landscaped walks, walls, terraces, and bird feeders with woodpeckers, humming birds and blue birds being especially dear. In retirement she spent many an afternoon basking in her pool. She loved having friends over for cookouts and parties where she wore kooky hats and dressed Mathilda, her Golden Retriever, in appropriate costumes. She kept in contact with the Wesley Rabbits and Rollers from her High Point College days. An avid reader, she joined a book club. Her passion, other than her daughters, was dance and she was able to join a dance troupe, The Snappy Tappers. Trish supported many charitable organizations and volunteered at Sunnyside Ministry, which is a food bank and provider of financial support for those in crisis. Sunnyside is also where she met her husband Ray and they were married in the beautiful backyard on October 17, 2020.
