Mrs. Patricia Ann Salate ""Patty"" Flynt, 53, of Winston-Salem died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Patty was born in Holyoke, Mass. on March 19, 1955 the daughter of Mary Salate and the late Frank Pelis. Patty was a member of Germanton Baptist Church. She had retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 20 years of service. She owned and operated Easy Meals To Go on Jonestown Rd. in Winston-Salem. Patty was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Patty loved life and being close to her family and friends. She was very energetic and had a smile and a laugh that was very contagious. Surviving is her husband Gary K. Flynt of Winston-Salem , a son Josh Flynt of Rammstein Air Force Base in Germany , her mother Mary Salate of Weston , Mass., dad and mom Joe and Dorene Yow of Greensboro, four brothers Larry (Beverly) Salate, Brian Pelis, John (Pam) Pelis and Stanley Pelis, a sister-in-law Jo Anna (Gary) McIntosh, three brothers-in-law Marcus (Rebecca) Flynt, Rickey (Sonja) Flynt and Mike (Debbie) Yow, nieces and nephews Anna and Edward Salate, Tammy( Rodney) Johnson, Kevin (LuAnn) Flynt, Holly, Andrew, Emry, April, Hannah, Cole, Dawson and Addison Flynt, Robbie and Ashley Yow, Jordan, Ethan and Arron McIntosh. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Germanton Baptist Church in Germanton with Rev. Dennis Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors by the King American Legion Honor Guard. The Flynt family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In Lieu of Flowers Memorial donations may be made to the Patricia A.
