Patricia Ann McHann Everidge

Patricia Ann McHan Everidge was born in Cherokee County, NC on July 9, 1940. She went to be with Jesus and her husband, the love of her earthly life, as she lay down to sleep on Monday, March 6, 2017. Pat had just worked a 12 hour shift at her favorite place, PTCRC. Refusing to retire until ""they made her"", she loved to arrive 1-2 hours early every day in order to eat a biscuit, read the paper and chat with her friends.

Pat was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Pat was an amazing baker who some of you may remember as the Cookie lady at the Cookie Factory in the late 70's. She loved gardening and knew the name and how to take care of just about any tree, shrub, plant and flower. She also loved to read, her latest favorite was Amish books.

Pat had an unwavering faith in God and was an active member of Samaritan Baptist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star.

Pat was predeceased by her loving husband and high school sweetheart, James Lee Everidge. She was also predeceased by their first two babies; Charles and Martha and her brother, Glen McHan, Jr. Pat is survived by her sons Timothy James Everidge (Kitty) and Phillip Lee Everidge (Beth). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Everidge, Ben Everidge, Matthew Everidge (Gaby), Ryan Everidge (Sara), Cortney Terry (David), Sam Everidge (Katie), Marissa McDonald (Dalton), Emily Bouchette (James), Tricia Ledford (Scot), Jaimee Minton, and Katie Navey. She had eight great-grandchildren, Katie, Noah, Riley, Briggs, Conner, Garrett, Anara and Addison.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek, Winston-Salem. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Samaritan Baptist Church, 4800 Reid Rd., Winston Salem, NC.
