Patricia "Dee" Clark

Patricia "Dee" Vestal Clark passed away on November 20, 2024.

She was born April 1, 1938, to James Manley Vestal and Estelle Overman Vestal in Asheboro, NC. She graduated from the NC Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She was a loving Marine Corps wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Ann Clark Bluhm, her nephew Robert Lee Poovey IV, the love of her life and husband, Read McFadyen Clark and her best friend Jean Ebert.

She is survived by her son, James (Carla) Scott Clark and daughter Susan (Jim) Clark Pinch; grandchildren Evan McNeil Bluhm, John Duncan Bluhm, Caroline Elizabeth Bluhm, and Emma Patricia Clark; sister Sue Vestal Poovey, nieces Randi Clark Eaton and Melissa Clark James, great nieces Sarah and Kate James, and devoted friends Joyce Troyer, Laurie Lail, Pat Weaver and Marge Asel. Dee and Read traveled the world together. Her second home was England, and her friends there, the Holmes, were like family.

The US Marine Corps meant the world to her. Her many friends from the Corps remained close to her through the years, Ron and Evelyn Roe, Bruce and Audrey King, Pat and Ed McFarland, Jack Kelly, Ted and Bev Rathbone, Jud and Deborah Blakley and Dave Garvey.

She led a fortuitous life with more than her share of friends and happy times. The good times certainly overshadowed the bad.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
