Patricia Taylor Caster

Patricia Taylor Caster, 83, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away on July 2, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born and raised in Deltaville, Virginia. She subsequently lived in Richmond, Virginia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Shiraz, Iran; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was married to George D. Caster, Jr. in 1966 (who preceded her in 2008). She received a Masters of Arts in Education from Wake Forest University in 1987, and she worked as a School Psychologist in the Surry County Schools for nearly 24 years.
She was preceded by her parents, Roy and Marie Taylor of Deltaville, Virginia and her brother, Roy Miles Taylor of Richmond, Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Marie Caster, and grandson, Smith Leo Killion, of Tallahassee, Florida; her sister Gail Taylor Spring (Jim) of Richmond, Virginia; her nieces, Paige, Harriette, and Susan and nephew Gene from the Richmond area; and many cousins.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, officiated by Father Trey Garland. Her ashes will be interred with her husband's at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile www.operationsmile.org or 1-888-249-3797.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and a dedicated bridge player. She will be missed very, very much.
