Mrs. Patricia ""Patty"" Necessary Casstevens, 71, of Winston-Salem died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born September 15, 1943 in Mercer County, WV, the daughter of the late Clarence Hubert and Ruth Osborne Necessary. Mrs. Casstevens was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was owner and operator of Patty's Beauty Salon and was an avid bowler for 30 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, C. H. Necessary and Roger Necessary and a niece, Adrienne Necessary. Survivors include one son, Brad Casstevens and wife, Paula of Yadkinville; a special niece, Heather Pardue and husband, John of Hamptonville; a niece, Lee Ann Brownlee and husband, John of Washington, DC; a nephew, Zachary Necessary of Jacksonville; one brother, Tom Necessary of Wilkesboro; two sisters in law, Ann Rita Necessary of Millers Creek and Cathy Necessary of Wilkesboro. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Halipilias, Rev. Lee Ellis and Rev. Jay Worsley officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium . The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
