Patricia Kelso Carr

Winston-Salem- Patricia Kelso Carr of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. Pat was born on March 17, 1925 to Edward and Florence Kelso in Darby, PA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Carr; four brothers, William, Francis, Joseph, and Edward and her sister, Marie. Surviving are her sons, Robert Wayne Carr (Debbie) of Greensboro and David Kelso Carr (Lucy) of Winston-Salem; brother, David Kelso of PA and a sister-in-law, Helen Kelso of PA; numerous nieces and nephews; also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth Carr and fianc郩 Jeff Clossey, and Robby, Katie and fianc郩 Jason Church, and Annie Carr. Pat had a true Irish spirit and delighted all who celebrated her birthday each St. Patrick's Day. She was an avid cook and enjoyed singing old Irish songs with her brothers. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Warren Sweeney officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 5216 Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
