Pastor Haskins, Jr.

Winston-Salem- Pastor Albert "Al" F. Haskins, Jr., 53, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born October 2, 1964, the son of the Albert and Barbara Alston Haskins, Sr. He was a 1982 graduate of Southwest Guilford High School, a graduate of the University of Phoenix and worked for USA Securities, Allied Security and performed private contract security. A devoted Pastor, Albert loved working with troubled youth and with many youth ministries. He was the founder of Power N Da Houz Ministries and devoted many hours to HIS Village Community Enrichment Center. Albert was devoted to his God, his family and his Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Carson and Ida Mae Alston and his paternal grandparents, Rev. Randolph and Ellen Haskins. Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, Carol Haskins; six children, Albert "Trae" Haskins, III of High Point, Timothy Ryan Haskins of Winston-Salem, Substance Ariel Haskins of Winston-Salem, Miciah David Haskins of Winston-Salem, Sierra Grace Haskins of Winston-Salem and Rayvon Robinson of High Point; a sister, Renee Haskins of High Point; a brother, Herbert Haskins and wife, Yolanda of New Carrollton, MD; five grandchildren, Kayden, Jamaryon, Bailey, Tanner and Josie; three aunts, Betty Jean Alston, Margaret Alston and Mattie Alston all of High Point; an uncle, Carson Alston, Jr. and wife, Joy of Fort Washington, MD; his nieces, Jessica, Nicole, Kiana, Shawnte; a nephew, Legonn and a host of cousins, Goddaughters, Godsons and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Larry Thornton officiating.
