Kernersville – Mrs. Pansy Jewel Bodenheimer Moore, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 7, 1926 in Davidson County, NC to Willie Arthur and Emma Hayworth Bodenheimer. Pansy was a long time member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed visiting with the members of the church who are shut ins. More than anything, Pansy loved to spend time with her family and to watch her grandsons play ball when they were young.
In addition to her parents, Pansy was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Hammer Moore; her son, Michael C. Moore; son-in-law, John H. Aderholdt; three brothers, Ivey, Staley, and Stanton Bodenheimer; and one sister, Iola Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Myra Aderholdt; two grandsons, John N. Aderholdt (Kara Baldwin) and David F. Aderholdt (Erin Pearsall); two great grandchildren, John Luther and Seth Michael; her sister-in-law, Dorthea Bodenheimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Pansy will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cantrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church at 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Rd, High Point, NC 27265. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
