Pamela McGlamery Doby

Mrs. Pamela McGlamery Doby, 55, of Mocksville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Yadkin County on February 11, 1961 to Brice and Shirley Anthony McGlamery. She was a member of Green Meadows Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member of the choir and of the WMU and enjoyed working with the children/youth of the church. Mrs. Doby was employed with Hanes Brand Corporate Office for 16 years. Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Anthony McGlamery in 2015. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 17 years, Kenny Wilson Doby; two children, James Michael Doby (wife Caitlin) of Lewisville and Kendra Denise Doby, also of Lewisville. She is also survived by her loving granddaughter, Hazel Elizabeth Doby; two sisters, Tammy Kerley (husband Howard) of Morganton and Shana Harrison (husband Johnny) of Salisbury. She also adored her niece Shelby Harrison and nephews Nathaniel Kerley, Eric Kerley and Owen Harrison. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Green Meadows Baptist Church with Pastors Josh Greene, Danny Emory and Bill Thrailkill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance, NC. The family would like to say a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Cancer Center and the ICU Neuro nurses and Palliative Care Staff at Forsyth Medical Center. Also a special thanks to Dr. Eugene Paschold and his staff for caring for Pam over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Green Meadows Baptist Church Mens' Mission Building Fund, 1146 NC Hwy. 801 North, Mocksville, NC 27028.
