Page Allen Mitchell

Mr. Page Allen Mitchell, 61, of Walkertown, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born August 10, 1948 in Fries, VA to David A. and Edna Turner Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1966. He went on to Wingate College, Appalachian State University and then graduated from Wake Forest University Law School on May 27, 1974. In his earlier days, he was a faithful Boy Scout earning an Eagle Award. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Brenda Councilman. Surviving are his mother, Edna Mitchell; one son, Anthony Mitchell, his sister, Teresa Horton; a special granddaughter, Bailey-his lady bug and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his closest friends, Eddie Clayton, Frank Gordon, Pastor David Cleary, Gary Thomas and Ronnie Watts, as well as many other special friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 11, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hyde and Rev. Janet Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
