Mr. Otto Lee ""Sonny"" Brandon and Mrs. Patricia Myers Brandon, both passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 at their home. Mr. Brandon was born in Forsyth County on May 30, 1938 to the late Otto Disher and Ruth Francis McCall Brandon. Mr. Brandon was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from U.S. Airways. He attended Clemmons Moravian church. Mr. Brandon will be remembered as a loving Father and Grandfather. Mrs. Brandon was born in Charleston, WV on July 29, 1943 to the late Charles Luther and Ruth Delay Myers. She worked at BB& T and was a flight attendant at Piedmont Airlines for several years. Mrs. Brandon attended River Oaks Community Church. She was a breast cancer survivor for over 10 years. She will be remembered as a loving Mother and Grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Brandon were preceded in death by a son, Eric. A brother, Robert Leslie Myers also preceded Mrs. Brandon in death. Mr. and Mrs. Brandon are survived by a daughter, Myra Brandon Bruggman and husband John Charles of Winston-Salem; a son, Mark W. Brandon and girlfriend Amy Nix of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Brandon Christian Bruggman and John Charles ""Jack"" Bruggman II, and numerous nieces and nephews. Two siblings, Charles Danny Myers and wife Linda and Evelyn Myers Pierce and husband David, all of Charleston, WV, survive Mrs. Brandon. A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 pm Thursday, January 28, 2010, for both Mr. and Mrs. Brandon, at Konnoak Hills Moravian Church with the Rev. John Rights officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
