KING - Mr. Oscar Leo Moser passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 30, 1920 in Stokes County to the late Verlie Burrow Moser and Claude Ray Moser Sr. Mr. Moser proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart. He retired from Hanes Knitting with 35 years service and was a member of Poplar Springs Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moser was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Nola Mae Moser; two daughters, Teresia Bryant (Calvin) and Darlene Cope (Tim); three grandchildren, Tammy Johnson (Rodney), Kevin Flynt (Luanne), and Aaron Cope (Meghan); one step grandson, Michael Bryant; three great-grandchildren, Cole, Dawson and Addison Flynt; one step great-grandson, Denver Bryant; one sister, Dorothy Long; and one brother, Murvin Moser. A Funeral Service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 17 at Poplar Springs Church of Christ in King, NC with Don Wallace, Minister; Ralph Sproles, Minister and Chuck Bower, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 290 of King. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Church of Christ Building Fund, 7120 NC Hwy 66 S, King, NC 27021.
