Orville Edward Wagoner

Mr. Orville Edward Wagoner, 79, of Winston-Salem, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his home. He was born August 6, 1932, to the late Sant J. Wagoner and Annie Susan M. Wagoner. He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, who he worshiped, Shirley Jean Sowers Wagoner; brothers, Oddress O. Wagoner, George Ray Wagoner, S. Eugene Wagoner; and sister, Carolyn Leonard. He is survived by his son, Ronald G. Wagoner and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Ronald G. Wagoner II and wife Ashley K. Wagoner, Matthew, Ryan, and Ashley and fiancée James Todd. He was also a proud great-grandfather of Ronald Gray ""Ayden"" Wagoner III, son of Ronald Gray Wagoner II and wife Ashley. Mr. Wagoner is also survived by his brother Adrian Wagoner and wife Marie; and sister, Ruby Pruitt and husband Bob. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 25 at Center Grove Baptist Church in Clemmons, with the Rev. Phillip Brand officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service.
