Opal Faircloth Warren

Mrs. Opal Louise Faircloth Warren, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehab in Advance. She was born July 14, 1924 in Cumberland County to Jessie Martin and Lena Strickland Faircloth. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, J.T. Faircloth and Vernon A. Faircloth of Stedman; three sisters, Thelma Johnson, Cleo Bedsole and Eunice Schmittle of Fayetteville and a grandson, David W. Green, Jr. of Fayetteville. Those left to honor and cherish Opal's legacy of strength, courage and above all, her kindness are daughters Brenda Davies of Mequeon, WI, Jennifer Thornton and Michelle Warren of Advance; son, Steve Warren of Lexington; grandchildren, Melissa Baxter of Fayetteville, Catherine Broomfield of Milwaukee, WI, Cindy Martinez of Madrid, Spain, Brian Warren of Tyro, VA and Orlando Warren of Hickory; great grandchildren, Cailin and Aidan Baxter, Jim, Michael and Samantha Broomfield, Danny and Robert Martinez, Brice and Brianna Warren and many nieces and nephews in the Fayetteville/Stedman area. A celebration of her life by her family will be held at a later date.
