Ollie Hancock, Jr.

Mr. Ollie Odell Hancock, Jr., 80, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1939 in Virginia to Ollie Odell and Elsie Warren Hancock. Ollie loved to be outdoors, especially working in his garden. He was retired after many years as a tobacco buyer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ollie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Soyars Hancock; two sons, Bryan Hancock and Chris Hancock; one grandson, Zachary Hancock; and one sister, Ann Cobb.

He is survived by his daughter, Angie Boyer (husband, Chuck); his son, Greg Hancock (wife, Teresa); four grandchildren, Nicholas Hancock (wife, Amy), Tiffani Hancock, Jessica Hancock, and Reagan Boyer; one great grandchild, Christopher Hancock; his former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Walker Hancock-Kendrick; sister, Teresa McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Ollie will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Clifford Willis officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
