Mr. Oliver Williams, 54, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was born in Bosen, Germany on November 22, 1966.
Oliver grew up all over the world as the son of a career military man. From a young age Oliver loved music and had an intense interest in audio-visual innovations, fire and fireworks that continued throughout his life. In Germany, Oliver attended many heavy metal and rock concerts, with his chauffer/father, Gary. He attended high school in Kaiserslautern Germany, where his career in audio electronics sales began.
He moved to the United States to attend the University of Texas, at San Antonio and graduated with a bachelors degree in Architecture in 1994. Oliver was an incredibly creative person who could build and design whatever he imagined. He worked in metal, wood, leather, and many other types of media. Despite this, his exceptional people skills led him to a career in sales. He worked for Kenwood, Delphi, Polaroid, Monster and others in a career that spanned over three decades and took him on many adventures including trips to the Super Bowl and Grammys, before starting his own company.
Oliver loved to travel – with others and even alone. He particularly enjoyed Oktoberfest, Las Vegas, and traipsing around Europe and Asia. He loved to meet people and try new food – nothing was ever too spicy or too weird for Oliver to eat. A fond memory is of Oliver and his father going fishing in Alaska – eating the freshest sushi in the world.
Oliver loved cars – especially fast ones, with great sound systems. He also leaves behind his beloved fleet including: a 1989 BMW E-30M3, a 1999 Porsche 911, a former Kenwood show car with a ridiculous sound system, and a 1978 two-tone Chevy Pickup.
He was one-of-a-kind and never met a stranger. He was full of life and loved to play practical jokes. He always gave himself away by laughing. You knew he loved you, when he tried to trick you.
Oliver was exceptionally kind and generous, from buying food for homeless people, to cooking for those he loved. He was a master at the grill and in the kitchen.
As his dear friend Albert said, “Oliver was just the classiest guy.” He made everyone feel classier and more important than they themselves believed they were.
Oliver had a unique and original spirit. He had his own way of looking at things and was an eternal optimist. He lived life to the fullest with no regrets. He was game for any adventure at any time.
Oliver is survived by his soulmate, Rebecca, and the fur kids, Calamity Jane and Enzo, his mother Agathe and father Gary, two sisters Tanya (Dan) Manion and Tamara (Alex) Davis. Nieces & Nephews: Bastian and Arabel Davis, Robert and Erin Manion, and Justin and Danni Roll. And many friends and family, near and far.
To celebrate Oliver’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 24, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, Ohio. Rev David Howard, officiant. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
