Olden Taft Wilson, Jr.

WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. Olden Taft Wilson, Jr., 71, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born on February 17, 1942 in Davidson County, NC to Oldon Taft Wilson, Sr. and Anna Boyd Wilson. He worked in floor covering for 30 years and was a co-owner of Wilson Carpet Binding. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, James Whitaker; his father; and three brothers, Buddy Wilson, Alvin Wilson and Sherman Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Johnsie Styles Wilson of the home; two daughters, Beverly Plummer (Kirby) of Rockford, NC and Tammy Wilson of Winston-Salem; one son, Timothy Wilson, Sr. (Sandy) of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Ronnie, Phillip, Shannon, Timothy, Jr., Brandon and Ryan; six great-grandchildren including Ayden Taft; two sisters, Alline Kirkus (Jimmy) of Lexington, NC and Lucy Shaw of Lexington, NC; step-mother, Louise Wilson of Lexington, NC and numerous other loving family members. A funeral service for Mr. Wilson will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park Old Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel.
