Ola Vineyard

MOORESVILLE- Mrs. Ola Walterene Blevins Vineyard, 94, passed away on July 19, 2021. She was born on May 8, 1927, to Walter Mack Blevins and Zenna Mae Testerman Blevins in West Jefferson. Ola worked in Food Service at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and in the cafeteria at Gospel Light Christian School, retiring with many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, serving in the Bus Ministry while her health permitted. Her faithfulness to the Lord was unwavering.  She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking meals for her family, and was a loyal North Carolina Tarheel basketball fan.  Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Vineyard; a son, Ronnie H. Vineyard; a granddaughter, Christy Vineyard; and brothers, Ford, Dale, Leonard, and Lonnie Blevins, as well as two infant brothers. Surviving are her sons, Johnnie Vineyard (Bobbie), Richard Vineyard (Janet); daughter-in-law, Sherrie Vineyard; grandchildren, John (Angie), Mark (Heather), Jason (Megan), and Ashlee; great grandchildren, Zack, Bailey, Dalton, Brooke, Austin, Natalee, Roman, Preston, Taitum, and Jaxton. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 23, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate and Rev. Jason Vineyard officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church (Bus Ministry), 890 Walkertown-Guthrie Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
