WINSTON-SALEM- Ola Gray Evans Sapp, a life-long resident of Winston-Salem, went home to be with The Lord, Friday December 27, 2013 at the age of 98. Ola was born February 25, 1915, to the late James Evans and Rosie Texanna Knott Evans. Mrs. Sapp was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired form George K. Walker Florist, where she was a floral designer. Ola lived a life of dedication to her savior and her family. Mrs. Sapp taught Sunday school for 35 years at Glenn View Baptist Church. She loved being surrounded by her family and beautiful flowers. She had a glorious smile that will remain with her family forever. Although her family will truly miss her, we know she is now rejoicing in Heaven, worshipping Jesus in her new Heavenly body. In addition to her parents she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Arnold James Sapp; son in law Chuck Johnson; and all of her brothers and sisters. Surviving are her two daughters Carolyn S. Johnson, and Phyllis Ann S. Carlyle and husband Wayne; son Edward Arnold Sapp and wife Susan; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Glenn View Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Gupton and Rev. Edward A. Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, until time for the service at Glenn View Baptist Church.
