Mrs. Odelia Alexander Bryan Trivette, 85, is now at rest in that Pearly White City. She was born on April 26, 1925 in Forsyth Co. the daughter of the late James Thornwell Alexander and Stella Doby Alexander. Mrs. Trivette worked for Western Electric for 25 years at the Lexington Rd. and Vargrave plants. She attended Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis X. Bryan, her second husband, Frank J. Trivette, her son, Francis X. Bryan Jr. and two brothers, Corum and David Alexander. Mrs. Trivette is survived by a daughter, Karen Landreth and husband John of Lewisville, two sons, Gordon Bryan and wife Carol of Kernersville and Jeff Bryan and wife Debbie of Germanton, seven grandchildren, Frankie Bryan (Tanya), Todd Bryan (Anna), Matthew Bryan, Melissa Kim (Randall), Lynn Viola (Richard), Amber Bryan and Ashleigh Bryan, several great-grandchildren, a sister, Dora Graham and husband Harry of King, a brother, Herbert Alexander and wife Betty of Advance and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Trivette will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton with Rev. Gary Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening March 23, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall and at other times at the home of Jeff and Debbie Bryan in Germanton. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 39, Germanton, NC 27019 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, P.O. Box 863, Walnut Cove, NC 27052. The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Stokes for the wonderful care that was provided during our mother's time of need and a very special thank you to our new and close friend, Marla ""Marley"" Smith, we will never forget what you have done for our family.
