Novella Swaim Flynt

KERNERSVILLE-Novella Swaim Flynt, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 21, 1919 in Forsyth Co. to the late David Stokes and Grace Martin Swaim. Novella was a member of Kernersville Moravian Church, where she had been active in many ministries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Graves Flynt; her sister, Beulah S. Vanhoy; and four brothers, D.W., Clay, C.J., and Ray Swaim. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Flynt Sell and husband Henry of Winston Salem; two grandsons, Kel Billings of Kernersville and Patrick Billings of Singapore; a brother, Wade Swaim; two sisters, Mildred Voss, and Linda McLain; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Kernersville Moravian Church with Rev. Don Winters and Rev. Kel Billings officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either, Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or Kernersville Moravian Church Missions Fund, 504 S.
