Norris Linville Bodenhamer

Mr. Norris Linville Bodenhamer, 96, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1915 in Forsyth County to Ollie Smith Bodenhamer and Conrad Lafayette Bodenhamer. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Bodenhamer was a member of First United Church of Christ and retired from Western Electric after 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Matthews Bodenhamer; his son, Norris Bodenhamer, Jr.; one grandson, Jeffery Keith Jones and five siblings, Vance Bodenhamer, Holland Bodenhamer, Willard Bodenhamer, Opal Gilliam and Betty Warner. Surviving are one son, L. Dale Bodenhamer (Martha) of King and two daughters, Carolyn B. Edsel of Winston-Salem and Glenda B. Jones (Del) of Sanford; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one sister, Ruby Deese of Jacksonville, FL. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. David Crook and Rev. Wayne Linville officiating.
