Norman “Buster” Miller Sr., 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Southfork Assisted Living.
Mr. Miller was born January 23, 1930, in Forsyth County, to Raymond Miller and Ada Young Miller. He was a long-time member of Bethel Methodist Church where he served in numerous leadership roles and as Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 792. Norman worked at Hanes Hosiery and retired from Westinghouse where he worked as a machinist. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Elizabeth Snyder Miller; one daughter, Sybil Goodman of Virginia; three sons, Fred Miller (Debbie) of Newton, Alan Miller of Florida, and Carlton Miller (Carla) of East Bend; four grandchildren, Hope Greene (Matt), Riane Bolin (Travis), Jennifer Miller, and Kristin Stewart (Sebastian); three great-grandchildren, Sam Greene, Eleanor Greene, and Anna Bolin; and one sister, Charlene McDowell. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Bethel Methodist Church with Chaplain Tom Gramley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
