Norman Douglas Hepler

Mr. Norman Douglas Hepler, 77 of Winston-Salem, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Salisbury. Mr. Hepler was born May 27, 1931 in Forsyth County, a son of the late Robert Hepler and the late Nellie Mae Brown Hepler. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War and was a retired plumber with over 40 years of service. He attended Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Motsinger Hepler and a sister, Ivelyn Haley. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Lawson, grandchildren, Stacy Jones and Matthew Branch, and brother, Robert Hepler. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by The VFW Honor Guard.
