Norman Ray Belcher

WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. Norman ""Jimmy"" Ray Belcher, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Belcher was born on August 28, 1931 in Princeton, West Virginia to Madelyn McAfee Belcher. Norman served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Belcher was preceded in death along with his mother by his wife, Peggy Simms Belcher and a son, James Belcher. Mr. Belcher is survived by his son, John Belcher of Winston-Salem; daughter, Madelyn Schumacher of Winston-Salem; and one grandson, Sam Schumacher of Winston-Salem. Funeral services for Mr. Belcher will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Terry Rausch officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
