Norma Hartman Yountz

Mrs. Norma Hartman Yountz, 77, of Summerfield passed away January 17, 2009 at Annie Penn Hospital. Mrs. Yountz was born in Forsyth County to the late Brantley Hilliard and Hazel Hartman on June 27, 1931. Mrs. Yountz was retired from Wachovia. She will always be remembered as wonderful mom and caretaker of her family. Mrs. Yountz was preceded in death by her husband, John Christy Yountz and a brother Brantley H. Hartman, Jr.. She is survived by a daughter Cathy Young and husband Tom of Summerfield; three sons Chris Yountz and wife Noreen of Maine, Alan W. Yountz of Winston-Salem, and C. Darrin Yountz and wife Susan of Winston-Salem; two sisters Wanda Walker and Joan Dize, both of Winston-Salem; two brothers Kenneth Hartman and Michael ""Mickey"" Hartman both of Winston-Salem; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Pastor Roger Baker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
