Norma Fishel Willard

Norma Marie Fishel Willard, 91, widow of Charles Hushel Willard, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at her home. She was born September 12, 1924 to Henry A. and Jessie Miller Fishel. She was a graduate of Griffith High School and Draughn Business College. From the age of 17 she was employed by Fowler Furniture Co. and then Sides Florist for 35 years. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and Bible Fellowship and most recently a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Lewisville. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Garner; two granddaughters, Amy Tise (David) of Burgaw, NC and Sissy Christine Nelson of Yadkinville; five great-grandchildren, Austin Slater (Bailey), J.R. Evans, Jasmine Evans, Bobby Tise, and Jonathan Tise (Leigh); one great-great grandson, David Tise; also surviving is her loving granddogs, ""Callie"" and ""Nellie."" A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrum and Rev. Michael Flack officiating. Burial will follow at Concord United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 PM before the service. The family would like to send special thanks to the hospice nurses: Maggie, Liz, Megan and her caregivers, Lauren, Renee, and her angel, Brooke Wall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Hospice of Winston-Salem, or Concord United Methodist Church.
