Mrs. Norma Jean Taylor, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1933 in Forsyth County to Otto B. Bohannon and Mamie Waddell Bohannon. Norma Jean was a founding member of the Winston-Salem Craft Guild and enjoyed being a part of the organization as long as her health permitted. She was a member of First Christian Church in Winston-Salem. Norma Jean worked alongside her husband in his accounting business for many years and made a lot of friends that way. Preceding Mrs. Taylor in death are her parents. Norma Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Randall Taylor of the home; one daughter, Karen Denise Taylor Koonts of Winston-Salem; one son, Randy Taylor (Kathy) of Lewisville, NC; two grandsons, Donnie Koonts of Winston-Salem and Christopher Taylor of Lewisville, NC; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Makayla Koonts. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at First Christian Church with Dr. Mike Simpson and Rev. Bob Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
