Norma Jean Spivey Workman, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away January 19, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Workman was born December 26, 1939, in Cocke County, TN, to James Norman Spivey Sr. and LaVerria Mae Profitt Spivey. Norma was very patriotic and loved God and her country. She also loved to serve through her service to the community. She was employed by Duke Power from May 31, 1961, to March 1, 1993.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, George Lee Yokley; her second husband, Tracy Tyson Eller; third husband, Marvin Douglas Workman; and her brother, James “Jim” Norman Spivey Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brian Yokley (Angie); her daughter, Holly Davis (Chris); five grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer (DJ), Joshua, Alexis (Bryce), and Alyssa; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Doug Spivey.
A funeral service will be held 12 PM Friday, January 24, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
