Norma Cline Sloan Rogers of Clemmons went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2009 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Forsyth County to Eva Craddock and Grover Stephen Cline. She was retired from ADT Security and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was a beloved and devoted Christian mother and ""nana,"" and her kindness and compassion touched everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her parents; a sister, Juanita McGee of Mocksville; and a brother, Grover Stephen Cline, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL, preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mackcine Sloan Smith, and a granddaughter, Summer Lee Smith, both of Clemmons; a son, Terry Haywood Rogers and wife Cheryl of Moon Township, PA; a step-grandson, Rodney Yow of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Hilda C. Morrison of Rocky Mount, VA and Nancy Phelps of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, David Cline and wife Kay of Kannapolis; and many nieces and nephews. A private interment will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157; or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
