Norma Barger Richardson

Mrs. Norma Barger Richardson, 86, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 9, 1923 in Catawba County to James J. and Thelma Powell Barger. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was retired from R.J. Reynolds with 41 ¾ years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Richardson; two brothers, Edward C. Barger and James J. Barger, Jr.; and a son, Gerald W. Richardson. Surviving is one son, Arthur Gene Richardson of Spencer; two granddaughters, Norma Grey Richardson and Joyce Ann Burcham; one sister, Juanita Barger Williams of Davidson County; three brothers, Ralph A. Barger of St. Louis, MO, Horace F. Barger of Ocala, FL, and Gerald W. Barger of Richmond, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Lee Strange officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
