Ms. Norma Lee Dills formerly of High Point, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017. She was born on November 29, 1942 to Norman and Vivian Dills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Dills Williams, Shirley Dills Moriarty, and nephew Stephen Levi Amos II.
Norma, a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church was a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class and Negrin Circle. She spent many years working in the nursery rocking babies and helping in Vacation Bible School. Norma brought great joy and love to all who knew her. Never forgetting a face or name, she counted everyone as a friend. With a childlike faith, Norma would sincerely tell you ""I'm praying for you"" every time she saw you and she never failed to say ""I love you"".
She is survived by her sister, Ginger Amos (Stephen) of Walkertown; brother-in-law Don Moriarty of Burlington; nieces, Crystal Clark Bryant of Raleigh and Sharon Moriarty Thorp (Hall) of Rocky Mount; nephews, Jim Moriarty (Allison) of Cary, David Moriarty (Terri) of Graham and Wendell Amos (Sharon Rae) of Walkertown; great nieces and nephews, Michelle Blanchard
(Damon), Jacob Chewning (Amanda) Amber Chewning (Shon), Loren and Austin Amos, Jack and Ann Sumner Thorp, Halle and Addison Moriarty, Alec, Aydin, and Camron Chewning.
The family will gather at the home of Ginger Amos with a visitation at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. A graveside service will be held at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church at 11:30am on Thursday, April 27, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Road, High Point, NC 27265.
