Norma Blakeley

Mrs. Norma Jean Arrington Blakeley, 89, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Davie Health and Rehabilitation. She was born August 1, 1932, in Forsyth County to the late Willis Daniel Arrington and Grace Mae Cooke Arrington. Norma attended Forsyth County schools and graduated from Mineral Springs High School. She retired from Wachovia after 37 years of service. Norma was a faithful member of Rural Hall Christian Church, where she was active in several committees and the weekly bible study group. In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth “Ken” Allen Blakeley; infant daughter, Ava Grey Pardue; one brother, James Wesley Arrington Sr.; and three sister-in-laws, Patsy Swaim Arrington, Gladys Hawks and Nell Arrington. She is survived by her two nephews, Wesley Arrington, Jr. and Greg Arrington; two great nieces, Kayla Arrington and Krista Arrington Bowen (Chris); great nephew, Justin Arrington (Jennifer); two great-great nieces, Saylor and Ashford Bowen; three great-great nephews, Sawyer, Elam, and Huxley Arrington; and special friend, Carol Arrington. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Rural Hall Christian Church with Dr. Wesley McCarter officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rural Hall Christian Church.
