Norma Eileen Barber

Mrs. Norma Eileen Meadows Barber, 84, of 4425 Chebar Drive, Pfafftown, passed away at her home September 3, 2009. She was born October 31, 1924 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Zara Vaden and Nellie Fogleman Meadows. Mrs. Barber was a charter of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Epiphany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett D. Barber. Surviving are her two daughters, Jeanne Lisenby of Winston-Salem and Traci Barber of the home; a sister, Sarah Sale of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Melinda Patterson of Winston-Salem, Matthew Barber of Tobaccoville, Emileigh Sands of Asheville, Paul Sands of Winston-Salem and David Lisenby and wife, Jan of Rural Hall; a special nephew and niece-in-law, Clifton and Dora Barber of King; and a great granddaughter, Shirley Isabella Crain. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM at The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Epiphany on Silas Creek Parkway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, 5220 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. We are thankful to all who supported our beloved Norma in life, and those who helped issue her into His kingdom.
