Norma Ann Cheek Ball

Mrs. Norma Ann Cheek Ball, 82, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1929 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late, Jessie W. and Sally Doty Cheek. Mrs. Ball attended Shallowford Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis M. Ball, a brother, Jessie Cheek, Jr. and a sister, Millie Holt. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Ball and wife, Amanda of Advance and Robert S. Ball and wife, Sandra of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby F. Cheek and wife, Irene of Clemmons; one sister, Lucille Collins of Winston-Salem; a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Evelyn Williams of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill James officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
