Norma Anderson

Mrs. Norma Jean Anderson, 83, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on July 23, 2022. Jean was born to the late Buford Nichols and Gladys Stewart Nichols on September 25, 1938, in Anderson, South Carolina.

She was a faithful wife for 62 years to her loving husband, Herman Otis Anderson until his death January of this year. She was an honorable mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. Jean had several careers in life, the most rewarding was that of a stay-at-home mom. She loved taking care of and supporting her three sons.  She loved traveling, Soap Box Derby, Nascar (go Kevin) & Drag Racing. Most importantly, she loved serving her God and making a difference at any Church she attended throughout her adult life. If you knew Jean you knew her faith.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband; Herman Otis Anderson, her parents; Buford Nichols and Gladys Stewart Nichols, a sister and brother, father-in-law; John Herman Anderson, mother-in-law; Viola Nicks Anderson, her sister-in-law; Mildred Cartee, brother-in-law; Bill Cartee, brother-in-law; Spence Anderson, and nephew; Eric Anderson

Surviving are her three sons; Otis (Linda) Anderson, John (April) Anderson, and Eugene (Marlena) Anderson, grandchildren; Reggie (Allison), Heather (Rashad), Kristen, Kyler and Andrea, great-grandchildren; Christina, Samuel, Travis, Tyson and Eli, sister-in-law; Shelby Anderson, and many other special nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at Life Impact Church in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 10:00AM with Pastor Titus Anderson and Pastor Billy Norris officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park.
