Nola Bernice Idol Smith

Mrs. Nola Bernice Idol Smith, 88, of Kernersville, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 17, 1928 in Forsyth County to Homer Eugene and Ethel Stafford Idol. She worked at the Social Security Administration from which she retired in January of 1987. Bernice was a faithful member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending time at the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold C. Smith; and her brother, Weldon Idol. She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer S. Rollosson and husband Curt; two sons, David Smith and wife Linda and Danny Smith and Anita; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Wilbur Idol and wife Imogene and Birch Idol. A funeral service for Bernice will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rorie officiating. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm on Tuesday prior to the service.
