Nola Bowden Graham

Nola Graham went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was 95. She was born in Wolf Creek in Monroe County, West Virginia. Mrs. Graham was the daughter of the late Berton Henry Bowden and Emma Mann Bowden. For over 35 years she quietly supported her husband's pastoral ministry at the Son Light Baptist Church in Randleman, NC. She lived a life of commitment and faithfulness to The Lord. Her loving nature and kindness will always be remembered. She had a beautiful smile that expressed her love for others. Her family and many friends will miss her deeply but are comforted in knowing that she is free of sickness and pain in this world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Graham, September 21, 2001; her son, Maynard H. Graham, August 9, 2014; three brothers, Ira Bowden, Woodrow Bowden and Freddie Bowden and one sister, Marie Lemmons. Surviving are her son, David Graham (Carol) of Erlanger, KY; her daughter, Janice Duffer (Hugh) of Kernersville, NC; her daughter-in-law, Diana Graham of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Robyn Kohlmeyer (John), Allyson Benefiel (Matt), Matt Graham (Jennifer), Molly Shoemaker (Gary) and Ben Graham (Jessica); one great granddaughter and nine great grandsons. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. David Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family expresses sincerest appreciation to the staff and caregivers at the Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center. Special thanks go to Lesa, a personal friend of the family, who has been by her side and loved her dearly.
