Noel Anthony Chilton

Noel Anthony Chilton, 40, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on May 19, 2010. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on August 27, 1969. Noel graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1987 and obtained an Associate's Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College. He was a County Maintenance Engineer for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where he was employed for 20 years. Noel was a devoted husband to his wife, Chelle and a loving father to his two children, Jordan and Devin. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and also loved playing with his children. Noel is survived by his parents, Larry and Linda Chilton of Pilot Mountain; his brother, Adam Chilton and wife Lisa and their daughter, Gabby of Winston-Salem; and his grandmother, Opal Bowman and her husband, Hardin Bowman of Stuart, VA. Noel had many more uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and other family members that will miss his great sense of humor and willingness to help others. A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Gerald Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Brim's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 21 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughter's wheelchair sports team, Abilities Unlimited of the Carolinas, 1135 Harding Place, Charlotte, NC 28204 or by phone at (704) 377-6525.
