Noah Reginald "Regie" Teague

Kernersville – Dr. Noah Reginald “Regie” Teague, 81, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born on October 1, 1943 in Guilford County to Carrick Teague and Ethel Swaim Teague. Regie received his Doctorate in Education in 1976 from the University of Tennessee. He dedicated his whole life to children and education serving as a coach, teacher, principal and various other roles. After many years of faithful service, Regie retired in 2002 as Assistant Superintendent for Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. He served as President for the Southeast and International Regions of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI). The N. Reginald Teague Maintenance Facility was dedicated to him by WS/FCS in 2024 at which time he also received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. He was a farm-boy at heart and loved the outdoors. Regie enjoyed riding horses and driving horse-drawn carriages. He also loved to spend time on his tractor. Regie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Regie was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Teague.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ruby Teague; four children, Scott Teague (Leigh), Brent Teague (Roxanne), Melanie Dillingham (Rodney), and S. Bryan Colvard; five grandchildren, Gavin Teague, Austin Dillingham, Landon Teague, Logan Teague, and Carson Teague; one sister, Martha Teague Smith; one sister in law, Nyoka Teague; and many special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Regie will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Al Ward officiating. The family will informally receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Regi’s name may be made to Union Cross Fire Department at 4401 High Point Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
