Mrs. Nina “Maggie” Spicer Phillips, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home. She was born November 9, 1948 in Surry County to Jack and Lora Billings Spicer. She retired from Lucent Technologies. Maggie was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and was a member of the choir though recently inactive due to health issues. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved praising her Savior through music and song. She is no doubt a member of that heavenly choir worshipping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now face to face. Maggie was all about family. She sincerely loved her siblings and her extended family, the Cramers and Haneys. She loved animals, especially her dogs, Bingo and Zoe. Surviving are her husband, C. John Phillips; three sisters, Kathy Craver (Chuck), Jackie Erlene Cox and JoAnn Bottomley (Bobby); two brothers, Larry Spicer (Jenny) and Gerald Spicer (Diane); step children, Mary Ellen Cramer (Craig) and John Francis Haney (Ashley) and step grandchildren, Carragan, Caleb and Callie Cramer, Amelia Haney and Jack Haney. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Whitaker and Dr. Craig Cramer officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
