Nickolas Dwayne Koon

Nickolas Dwayne Koon, 30, of Walkertown passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 at his home. He was born August 20, 1979 in Forsyth County to Robin Walter and Rena Rushing Koon. Nickolas attended New Birth Baptist Church of Walnut Cove. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved music and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank D. Koon; and his grandmother, Eula Ann Royall. Surviving is his daughter, Skylette Koon; a son, Nickolas Koon, both of Mocksville; the mother of his children, Darlene Koon of Mocksville; his mother, Rena Royall of Walkertown; his father Robin Koon and wife Penny of Clemmons; one sister, Shannon Koon of Walkertown; one brother, Derek Koon of Clemmons; his paternal grandmother, Patsy Koon of Winston-Salem; his maternal grandfather, Clarence Royall of Kernersville; three nieces, Jessica Koon, Kelli and Jenny Gordon. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
