Nick Glenn Miller Jr.

            Mr. Nick Glenn Miller Jr., 78, passed away on April 19, 2023, at his home after a 3-month battle with cancer. He was born on November 27, 1944, in Forsyth County to the late Nick Glenn Miller Sr. and Dorothy Eloise Pope Minton. Nick was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. He worked as a dock supervisor for Roadway Express and retired after 36 years of service where he made many friends. Nick was known for the wonderful life he lived. He was dedicated to his family and Christian faith. He was a hard-working man, great provider, and the absolute BEST husband, daddy, father-in-law, papaw, cousin, and friend. He always provided wisdom and Christian guidance. Nick was an avid Ford man and provided great knowledge and advice on cars to others. He enjoyed refurbishing and collecting classic cars and going to cruise-ins. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Diane Miller; two twin infant granddaughters, Rachel and Rebecca Daniels; and an infant sister, Glenda Joann Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Brenda Joyce Snow Miller; three children, Glenda Daniels (Anthony “Skip”), Donna Phinney (Todd), Anita Morris (Jason); canine son, Teddy; four grandchildren, Christopher Phinney (Koby), Madison Phinney, Nathan Phinney, Justin Daniels, two canine granddaughters, Sophie and Daisy; two brothers, David Melton (Sandy) and Joey Minton (Renee), and many very special cousins and lifelong friends. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, April 24, 2023, at Freedom Baptist Church, Rural Hall, NC, with Pastor Jon White and Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Interment will follow the service at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Freedom Baptist Church.
